Patch Management

Does patch management only cover Microsoft products?
No. The Acropolis patch management solution will provide and test patches from a number of different vendors.
Can Microsoft patches harm my systems?
All patches come directly from the Microsoft Website and are tested by Microsoft prior to release. If a patch does harm or break your systems, Acropolis will fix this problem immediately at no additional charge. Our system has “roll back” capabilities so we can “undo” most patches even though we rarely have to use this feature. The security risk of not patching far outweighs the risks associated with patching systems.
How will I know that patches are actually being installed?
You will receive periodic updates detailing the patch status of your network. These patches will be installed on a regularly scheduled basis, and we will ask you to leave your actual computers “powered on” if possible. If you are a HeliosVision managed service client, you can get a report at anytime.
Will I be charged for patches being deployed?
No. All patch rollouts are included in the fixed monthly fee of HeliosVision Network Management.
