Acropolis successfully completes its Service Organization Control (SOC) 1, Type II examination

To our Employees, Partners, & Clients,

We are pleased to announce that Acropolis Technology Group has successfully completed its Service Organization Control (SOC) 1, Type II examination in accordance with the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16. SSAE 16 provides globally-recognized guidelines for companies to assess the integrity and effectiveness of their provider’s internal service controls and processes.

Our entire company has long recognized the responsibility we have to our clients and stakeholders. One of the ways we express that responsibility is by ensuring that we are adhering to the highest standards of service quality and operational transparency with our internal operations. We achieve and validate these goals this through our ongoing SSAE 16 certification.

This certification consists of an in-depth, third-party audit of our internal processes and controls. Through the satisfactory completion of this audit, Acropolis Technology Group is able to demonstrate a substantially higher level of integrity and operational excellence in our HeliosVision Managed Services both on premise and in our Data Center. Coupled with our industry-leading IT management platform based here in St. Louis, this gives our clients an even greater sense of confidence in our organization.

The scope of this year’s audit included our internal process and controls that support the HeliosVision Managed Service platform that we provide to customers in the areas of monitoring, disaster recovery, service, hosting, client implementation, client reporting, and various IT processes. The auditors’ report found that there there were no relevant exceptions to Acropolis controls and that our processes meet or exceed the strictest global requirements and are operating effectively.

On behalf of the entire executive team at Acropolis, we are extremely proud of the work and years of dedication to the highest standards that directly result in this certification.

Encrypt Text Messages and Phone Calls on your Android

TextSecure is a messaging app that encrypts your text messages over the air and on your phone protecting all of your communications. It acts as a full replacement for the default text messaging app and it’s almost identical and just as easy to use.

Using TextSecure, you can communicate instantly avoiding any SMS fees, create groups so that you can chat in real time and share media or attachments with complete privacy. The server never has access to any of your communication and never stores any of your data. And in the event you lose your phone, your messages are encrypted locally so they will be safe.

RedPhone provides end-to-end encryption for your phone, securing your conversations so that nobody can listen in. Very simple and easy to use, RedPhone uses your normal phone number to make and receive calls so you don’t need another identifier. It works with the default dialer and contacts apps but gives you the option to upgrade to encrypted calls whenever possible.

Both apps are free to all Android users and leverage AES-256 and SHA-256 encryption.
